After a while Hogan tapped Moe on the shoulders and said, kid, keep hitting those "accidents".
I started this spring with some lofty goals, I choosed Symple swing as the tool to get me there.
Why you might ask yourself, why?
One reason alone, they said a few things about their swing,
- You hit it further, which is good.
- You have better acuracy, which is even better.
- Its simple and easy to learn, now that I really liked.
- You need less timing and now they got my attention.
Have you seen golf been played or even play yourself when people slice it, hook it, top it, it it fat, or totally miss the ball and figure out that Golf must be really hard and complicated?
I ordered the dvd´s a month ago, I sat down watched them and started to ingrain and practice what they taught.
4 weeks later I am hitting a lot of accidents.
In fact so many I start to feel like that canadian Moe Norman.
I played a round yesterday, I equal my personal best that I made 2 years ago on a day when I made everything and shot a 78.
Now when I made 78 I didnt make any birdies and still played really well and the best thing is, it was so easy.
To hit the ball straight to need less timing to square the golfclub to the ball, to minimize the lower body to take away all uneeded motions we do in the golfswing is the idea in Symple Swing.
Still swing offers great distance, improved acuracy, faster to learn, and also with the built in idea of making a self correction system so if you would not make those accidents, you then know what to do to correct them.
Simple and easy, golf made fun.
Ever played Playstation golf or the Links golf game to PC?
That was what it felt like out there, I just aimed, and hit and the ball went straight.
It was the most fun and best day of my golf game ever.
People who plays golf seldom takes time to learn the basics - the fundementals properly.
This is a must to do since when the swing is learned and ingrained and habitual, you just play and dont worry about your golfshots where they are going since you already know that, and yes its down the line straight!
What makes the symple swing system unique are some basic elements,
- The grip, using the thumb and sqare wrist, allow a on plane clubhead at all times.
- The stance, lower body movement are limited to teach proper bodymotion.
- The power comes from bigger muscles and not just hands and arms.
- The self correction system, making analyze of the swing flaws easy to spot and find.
Obviously I am also using my own developed model of learning and improving performance in sports with my background from NLP and the coaching of a pro golfer learning the system.
Many people when playing golf gets emotinal, the nature of the game is that the instruction we get is not that good.
Golf instructions fail to take into account that still today the normal average amatur shoots 97.
Now, this is how good todays instructions are and how good the golf pro´s are in general.
What this means is several things, one is that the swing seems to be harder to learn than any ohter motion in sports, two the instructions is good enough.
The truth is that both are wrong.
Learning a motion is all about ingraining the proper sensation/feel when the position of the body is in the right and proper alignment with the shots to be made, when that is done this after a while becomes a natural movement and motion that all the time can be focused on playing golf not fixing the swing.
The traditional Golf swing also has several elements or variables of timing.
The Symple Swing have been reasearched to find and make the key variables as few as possible and easy to learn.
However we must remember that a motion is a movement that we need to get a sensation or a feel in how its performed, we must also measure that feel/sensation to the position that is recomended from the swing system.
In essence, doing it technical correct and properly.
The Symple swing system makes this easier and also faster and then we can play better and have more fun at the golf course.
I shot a 78 with no birdies and feeling like I played a computer game since I hit it so straight.
It was great fun out there.
I am enjoying golf more than ever making a alot of "accidents".
